Contest WIP

For those of you who aren't aware of JKFiles' skinning contest, check it out (and enter)!

I've been working on what will be my submission for the last couple of days, whenever I find I have time. Here's a bit of what it's looking like:

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...s/render-2.jpg

It's rough right now. I'll probably roughly finish it, then go back and add in some details. I'm kind of just letting the model take me wherever it wants to go.

Suggestions are welcome. And no, I didn't have robocop in mind when I started. -_-

Also, post your own WIP images for the contest if you like. :)

Dang it! You are skinning the model I was thinking about skinning, and in a similar way too. :(

Awesome job though!

Inyri cries tears of stone at how horribly rigged this model is... Raven did a piss poor job on it. But, eh. What can ya do? Makes me feel better about my mediocre weighing skills... since they're pretty close to Raven's skills XD

Still do your skin, btw. I'd like to see what you come up with :D

I don't know, it will be hard for me to top MW Soldier 4, which was on this model.

I still don't get how you could ignore the votes and NOT make it a modelling contest.

Re: Contest WIP

As I said in the comments on JKFiles, I'm making mine a full superhero, mainly going for humor. You could consider this a pre-WIP, and it's my first released skin. It's been educational. I learned A)how much the Weequay's armor bends; B)that the facial hair tutorial you gave on JKFiles doesn't quite work with GIMP's noise effects; C)that there's a reason there aren't too many Weequay skins; and D) that my computer slows down when I run Pakscape, 3 folders, GIMP, and modview at the same time.
And I just removed the head because I haven't skinned it yet, don't worry Inyri this has nothing to do with that .surf question

Because we just had a modeling contest. There will be another, don't worry.

Plus I have to balance whether the majority of the vote was 'do this because it'd be cool and I'd participate' or 'do this because I'm not planning to participate but I want more models!' The comments clearly suggested the latter.

Just a little question here, the theme is Heros and Villains, but you can only submit one skin. Can you have team skins, one of which is coloured to be a Hero, the other a villain?
