nice to see more ppls work :P just so u know my guy is a hero, im leaning towards a gritty time traveling cop (more comical fat guy) :P or a security guard who thinks hes more uber then he is :P

Heres a update on the main skin, ive added a shader now thou so the armor shines :)

I like it.

To make the face look old, try lightening the color of his beard/hair or add in some whiteish patches.

Also, from what I can see, his face skin doesnt match his neck skin. And his hands are too young looking for his face. Other than that I think you've got a great skin there.

I love the time traveling cop idea btw.

His beard seems to stretch too far down his neck, like you took the photoshop smudge tool and dragged it a bit too much downward. If you are using photoshop, try using the smudge tool that is part of the liquefy tool set instead... if that made sense lol. I'm at school right now so I can't tell you exactly where it is.

Other than that though the skin is pretty cool. Just need a funny sound set to go with it.

His face doesnt look old, it looks decaying. Most older people do not have that many wrinkles on them. Sure some wrinkles are more prominint than others, but yours looks like... well like I said above. Like its decaying off of his face. I would suggest less lines. You only need the prominint ones in certain areas. There are a couple of *old* skins out there that you can look at to see how the face wrinkles. Like Old Ben or even Luke.

Im not sure what ur looking at, there arnt that many wrinkles on him, well in the actual flat texture there isnt, i think ur looking at parts that arnt wrinkles, thats just coz im not good at the basic skin texture :P
But if u need a reason, heres one, Hes alergic to time travel :P

Technically aging is decaying. :P

I want some technical clarification on the rules, is it allowed to leave parts of the original texture in place with some modifications, or do all textures need to be completely colored over?

Also, WIP shot:

(The main part I want to leave is the face, because it's looking pretty brilliant at this point)

I never said you couldn't use parts of original textures. I just said you couldn't used other custom content.

Right! Then Things are going really really well!

I just really wanted to be sure I was following all the rules, and since everyone seemed to be making all original faces of some sort I thought I might have been missing something.

Hehehe, I'm working on the sound set for my skin right now. I'm making him sound menacing, but with a sarcastic comic-book style overtone. :p
