Kouen just called my work fugly. I don't know if I'm honored or offended. I'll get back to you on that.

Before you decide, you might want to take a few classes in English Comprehension...

Well, I am not very good when it comes to coloring or inking at all. I am a penciller. And in the pencil version, it does look like fire. But that is moot. The whole point is going to be what is on the arm since I cannot create a fireball for this character anyway. I am working on the chest right about now, and his mask is way better than it was the first time I drew it.

Okay, took a quick class or two at the local university. I'm definitely offended. Not only that but you sir, are a disgusting chunk of petrified wookie hair, not only that but your grandmother is a gruesome barrel of putrid compost. Not to mention that your father is an opinionated clump of stale sweat socks to say the least. (With all due respect.)

where was I going with this again? Oh right, my chrome is broken. How I understand chrome is you make a basic texture, and you add alpha to the areas you want to be chrome (In photoshop just use the handy little eraser on about 40% - 60%) Did that, slapped the shader on, and it just looks white behind it. Any helpful hints?

Photosourcing can look good if you do it right. You just have to find a picture with a high enough resolution, and know photoshop like the back of your hand.

If you knew photoshop like the back of your hand the photosourcing would be unnecessary.

For the lazy. :/

A contest is not the time you should choose to be lazy and cut corners... If you aren't good at making textures and you need to photosource, that's one thing. But to do it just because it saves time? That's cheap.
