Is there a trial version anywhere? I searched, but could not find one.

What kind of JA coding can you do with Visual Basic?

Granted, I once used it to create a program that automatically created an icarus script source file for me. It was basically just a really long list of two repeating commands with the other one having mathematically changing parameters. But that can't really be called JA coding. However, it should be pretty much what you can do for JA with VB.

You can use C(or C++) along with the SDK to code.

Im also pretty sure there is a "light" version of it out there that you can use. Visual basic is a microsft thing, so id check there.

You can't just use plain old Visual Basic, is has to be the VB with C++.

Just so you know.
