Why not use Windows Movie Maker? And fraps?

Alright. Fraps takes videos when you start filming (F12 for default I think). When you have the unregistered version, you can only film 30 seconds then you have to start it again. Here is the main site: http://www.fraps.com/

With Windows Movie Maker, you should have it. It's actually pretty easy to learn, but if you have any problems or questions with what I just said, just give me a yell.

The only annoyance of fraps is it's video's are uncompressed, and as so, a file that's even just 30 seconds long will ussualy be a few hundred MB. I remember I had a 2 minute long movie, and it was 1.79 GB. I wish they'd make it so it would be more compressed, but oh well. Fraps still rule's. :P

After you take the film, you could open Windows Movie Maker with your footage and then save it. Should be like 99% smaller.

that's good to know

Make sure you save it as "High quality video (NTSC)."

The reason frap doesnt compress is because it doesnt have time to both record and compress. It would drive your frame rate much farther down then it already is.

It ussualy cut's frame's in half, but yes, I understand why it doesn't. It's annoying though, if I wanted to make a 30 minute film It'd be huge, and take awhile to compress. But yes, I managed to get my 2 minute file down to 5 MB,s o it's not that bad. :P
