Since youalready bought the CD then for someone to copy and mail you the CD wouldn't break any law that I know of. If the staff see this and don't agree, please post.

Mikouen November 8th, 2007 02:05 AM

It's still piracy. You aren't allowed to copy and redistribute the game media at all, under the terms of not just the EULA but one or two US Federal Laws (as well as various laws in other countries too). Preventing piracy of digital media is one of the first things most civilized countries did when computers took off.

Besides, you'll probably get the ParsePacketEntities Of Doom error from using a copied disc. Copied discs may have all the datafiles for the game, but they sure as hell don't have all the data that's on the original disc. In a manner of speaking.

If you broke a disc, send in for a replacement one. Details are in the back of the manual. Would probably be cheaper to just buy a new copy, though. I mean, it's like what - $5?

Darth Masiaka November 8th, 2007 10:11 AM

Y'know... I didn't think of that. My brain must be slowing down since I got sick. Thanks Kouen.

Well I didn't broke it, only lost it so it's somewhere here so I'm not buying new one (besides it's hard to find new in finland it never was a big seller here)

all I need is someone to beta test these weapons if I can't find my cd

SESSH November 19th, 2007 10:28 AM

Hey Kouen, if he copied the disk himself from another copy, and as long as he had a receipt for the original, it's actualy not considered piracy. Because there was no legal tender transacted. Or other conditions gained. I know this because a CD company tried to sue my cousin for copywrite infringement. Unfortunately for them, my cousin had the original disks and reciepts for every single cd, for the songs he downloaded.

although I doubt anyone goes to those lengths to download anything anyway....

Though I do respect such policies being enforced...

Black Hawk 86 November 27th, 2007 03:45 AM

So anyone willing to test?

Flameboy0014 November 27th, 2007 12:18 PM

I will, Email them to me will you chap aultma00145@hotmail.com

:)

JediRob007 November 28th, 2007 09:55 AM

Man... I can't wait for these weapons... I love the way the blades look transparent... Like the ZX Saber... and the claws look really great.

Really great job on them guys!

-=Itai'shi=- November 30th, 2007 07:50 AM

I myself enjoy the weapons too, expecially the transparency & color....but I thoguh the blades seemed too....thin to me..

I thought (my opionion only) that they would be a bit more thicker, like an actual blade

«JSU»GreeŠ December 1st, 2007 05:37 AM

Darth Masiaka December 10th, 2007 03:50 PM

Re: Project Zero

My computer crashed some time ago, and not even norton could save it. I just debugged it so now I can test for you. If everythings taken care of, then I'll twiddle my thumbs for a while. :assimilate:

Black Hawk 86 January 6th, 2008 09:58 AM

Re: Project Zero

Sorry for not sending. I found my cd so now I can continue working on this. Finally.

If I learn how to make animations I'll make new stances and new kata moves for weapons.

Re: Project Zero

sweet i cant wait to see this project finished plz dont let it end up like the other Mega Man X mod which was amazing... till it died

SESSH January 7th, 2008 07:58 AM

Re: Project Zero

Got a question, is the saber hilt that X gains from Zero? Not sure wich game it's from. I know it's from one of the Megaman X games. I think its 6 or something. Or even Zero's saber hilt from MegaMan X 4?

CrashmanX January 7th, 2008 01:00 PM

Re: Project Zero

the saber he gets is the One from X5 and its zeros old saber from X1-4 and its amazing if you use the right itmes with X infinate max charge saber without having to charge
ON TOPIC: is anyone making that hilt and saber cause i thought it would be sweet also if anyone wants to see some good 3D X and Zero and Axl go to MMHP.net and go to X and choose games and MMX8 or Command Mission or X7 aww heres a link
http://mmhp.net
HINT: if you go to Infinity Mijinion's level and keep going past the Boss tele you can find a 2nd one which takes you to a Purple zero beat him and you get Zero TA DA

Black Hawk 86 January 9th, 2008 01:04 AM

Re: Project Zero

Well I've told many times already that I've made Z-saber from mmx series and it is included in full Project Zero. also there is other Z-saber from fanart picture.

Oh and yes X got saber from zero in mmx3 and in mmx6 X has saber from the beginning but it is still zeros saber

EDIT: Almost forgot, I'll release this pack as it is soon and after that I'll add more weapons (and possibly animations) and slightly altered hud from previous megaman hud

CrashmanX January 10th, 2008 04:49 PM

Re: Project Zero

sweet any signs of a X model? oh and a X style hud would be SWEET just make the shield a red bar to go over the green one

Botdra Lar'les January 10th, 2008 08:43 PM

Re: Project Zero

Yeah Iagree ^^ that would be amazing to see in-game!

Darth Masiaka January 12th, 2008 11:29 AM

Re: Project Zero

Any estimate on how much is left before release?

Black Hawk 86 January 15th, 2008 09:24 PM

Re: Project Zero

It depends. If i manage to learn animating then it wont come out for awhile. Also if i get my friend to make player models, then it takes some time. I wonder where hainu vanished he/she was doing great job on those models.

about that hud. I'm not sure is it possible to make shield on top of health bar but I know that it wouldn't be very user friendly 'couse in game you may lose health and armor at same time so you can't see how much you would have health left unless your armor is finished. There is already one megaman hud by me. It came with z-saber. I'll make few adjustments to it so it displays everything in numbers too.

CrashmanX January 16th, 2008 05:42 PM

Re: Project Zero

Dang i see your point but can u make it more X styled then cause i would so DL it then

Black Hawk 86 January 21st, 2008 03:19 AM

Re: Project Zero

Well I could, I'll make both (x1-x3 hud, x4-x6, but not x7-8 if there is different huds in those)

I'll probably make also original megaman styled huds (8 and 16 bit) so you can use which ever you want,

CrashmanX January 21st, 2008 05:51 PM

Re: Project Zero

i would use X4-X6 since i have owned all 3 and i love 4 and 5 not so much 6 but why couldnt u make a X8 or X7 hud? i sorta see why X8 but u could do it like with the X7 make the Lives ur Ammo and the WP enegry ur Armor and TA DA

i suppose the highway stage from X1 would be in order to have for a map?

CrashmanX January 22nd, 2008 02:29 PM

Re: Project Zero

lol that would be amazing

Black Hawk 86 January 23rd, 2008 03:17 AM

Re: Project Zero

Could you make it?

Black Hawk 86 January 24th, 2008 04:22 AM

Re: Project Zero

So I started making those huds.

I'll make everything else first and last those x7 and x8 'couse they are totally different in desing

Darth Masiaka January 27th, 2008 05:00 PM

Re: Project Zero

Could we make the HUDs, map, and weapons seperate downloads? I would love the weapons, but the other things would just take up space on my hard drive. I'd never use them. Y'see my point?

Black Hawk 86 February 8th, 2008 02:25 AM

Re: Project Zero

Yes and no, actually I could put them in same download but separate them in their own pk3 files so you could delete those you dont want

blah this hud making is boring

Re: Project Zero

I noticed that you wanted some animations to replace the current rolling ones. There is actually a much easier way to go by besides making completely new ones. That is, if you've found an anim that was already in JA that you thought was a likely candidate. I'll write it up in a step-by-step explanation:

1. Open the animation.cfg
2. Open ModView and click the extension for "Sequences"
3. Now find the animation you'd like to overwrite the default roll with.
4. Once you find it, pause the animation run and take note of the name for that animation. (i.e. BOTH_RUN1)
5. Now go back to your animation.cfg, and find the name of your anim. Now next to the name of the anim, you'll see a whole bunch of numbers (the numbers for BOTH_RUN1 are 12305 26 0 40). Copy all the numbers on the line for your anim.
6. Now find the rolling animations. They're called BOTH_ROLL_B, BOTH_ROLL_F, BOTH_ROLL_R and BOTH_ROLL_L, depending on which way the roll goes (BOTH_ROLL_F does a front roll, BOTH_ROLL_B does a backroll etc).
7. Now all you gotta do is replace the numbers of the roll, with the the ones your animation has. (i.e. if I wanted the running animation for the front roll, I'd copy 12305 26 0 40 and paste that where the numbers for the front roll was.
8. Save that, pack it all up in a .pk3 and there you have it!

Hope this will be of help. I probably made all that sound a lot harder than it really is, but I can't really see a way to simplify it any further. With that said, good luck on your project!

Re: Project Zero

I know you said that only members of the team should reply to this thread but I can't help asking. What kind of moveset will zero have? Will it be like the MMX Zero, MMZ Zero, MMZ Omega Zero, MMZX Omega Zero, MMZX Model OX, or MMZX Model ZX? If you could answer this question I will stop poking around (well actually I wouldn't poke around anyway just that I am too curious about this matter at the moment).
