Hey Inyri, just a small question, I tried to do a hoverboard too like about 2 years ago but I couldn't change the animation of the rider, I didn't know how and I thought this wasn't possible, can you tell me where I was wrong?
You've done a great job there :)

Well I quite discovered the same issue, and as a result I've had to work around it. I basically just overwrote the swoop rider anims in animation.cfg. This of course means that the swoop would be totally useless (one reason I overwrite it in SP) but hey, you do what you can... Of course changing the rider stance alone would really be pointless, as every time he moved he would revert back to basic swoop anims. That's probably one reason that function doesn't work.

Sorry, but I really don't know you that well and I can't remember you ever doing any modding other than mapping.

Just for the record though, I am not just a mapper. Mapping is my best skill though. ;).

I am sure DataLord knows me. LOL.

Inyri I have to say that everything looks great. When you first came forward with the idea, I thought it'd have too many problems to actually work. I sure was proved wrong. Its mods like this that keep me interested in this game. Im also excited to see all the awesome skins. The ones posted on here all look so great.

I've never used a vehicle in JA, but when this is released, Im definately going to give it a go.

Just a few questions: How is the "combat" while using a hoverboard? I want to be able to zip around while swinging at some friends.

Also, if there is a way to modify how fast it turns (I know nothing about vehicles) are you going to change it? I'd imagine people on hoverboards will eventually be skillful enough to turn on a dime.

Well, the good news is you can hit things. The bad news is the range is pretty poor. It's not really any worse than while on a swoop, though. As for turning radius, I'm not sure. It handles pretty insanely as it is, though, but I'll look into it before release.

Really though, guys, this is the last call for skins, so if anyone has a last-minute entree please get it finished this weekend. And do me a favor and let me know you're working on it, so I know not to release without it.

mmhmm, heres my feeble attempt at skinning it, its a simple skin I guess, nothing uber fancy. Hope i did it right :uhm:

Haha... Hey Inyri... Your readme said that the extra skins and SP replacement for the overboard wouldnt work with the main file... Judging by what my result was:



I'd say that was wrong. :p

Quite amusing to me, though. XD

I thought I said you *had* to have the main file to use the extras. If it says otherwise, it's a typo. It should be really easy to see how it works from the PK3, though.
