Ladder Melee Mod

Just resurected an ancient JK3 Melee Ladder Mod by Slice, Dice and Mince... played on it for a good hour. It got me thinking, why isn't there anymore of these mods? I mean, in the readme for this mod it says that all coding and resources could be used if needed, but why has nobody bothered? What about a Kill Bill one? In the House Of Blue Leaves, the map is already there, i'm sure the coding couldn't be to complicated..? Or maybe someone knows where Slice, Dice and Mince are? Perhaps we could get going and create a really good mod.
