Diving animation

Hey would it be at all possible all to make a dive animation, whenever you drop off a ledge into water. So for example your at the top off a ledge and when you drop off your character goes into a dive animation into the pool, would this be possible and if so how could i make it happen? :deal:

Well if you noticed, when You drop off a ledge, and jump off of something, the player sorta lifts his legs to his lower torso. You could replace this animation with a dving animation, but then everyone will dive off of stuff. I think making the player only dive into water would take some coding, and you'll need to talk to other people on this forum about that. (BTW there's no source code for single-player JKA *sob*)

you could make a dive animation and bind a button to it.
But you would have to walk in the water yourself and it probably wouldn't last long enough if you ''jumped'' from somewhere high.

Hopper, the animation you're refeering to is the jump animation, replacing that would replace ALL the jump animations.

ya true enough. what your forgetting is that most MP mods on JK2 or JA have anims that are passed off as 'emotes' which is passed off onto the original JA PC version. You only need to edit the _humanoid mesh skeleton which, I want someone to do anyway for an Archangel NPC mod.

That's what I meant, not sure if it came across that way. BTW Binding a button's a good idea.

Actually, the animation he refers to is when you dont jump, just walk off and fall down will sometimes make your legs lift. This anim is BOTH_INAIR1. But, it will mess with the jetpack animation, as it uses the same one.
