That is VERY strange... When I make a weapon, and get it into the game, the only way I can get the textures to work is to move them all to a different directory and change the directories in the SAB and SKIN files to where I moved them...

That.... is humongous. Looks like you've got the hand bolts a little off in the bottom pic. Might want to fix that if you haven't.

I think it's because you don't have the handle centered at 0,0,0 ;)

The hilt (where you grasp the weapon) should be right around 0,0,0 on your grid. If it's off center, the entire model will be shifted. The top hand will be right at (or right below) 0,0,0, so you want to put the top of the sword's handle right above that.
