Does anyone know where I can aquire some mapping textures online? The JO/JA ones are a bit limited, and I hate to steal from other mappers. Does anyone know of a site that has lots of them? or am I stuck just searching and formating one pic at a time?
It's actually not as hard to create your own textures as some mappers might have you believe. Just look for the sort of things you're looking for in a google image search or imagesource them. If you do that, though, you have to make sure they tile correctly. The other thing you might be able to do is reskin Raven's textures to fit your needs.
It might help if we knew what sorts of textures you're looking for.

No, that's not creating textures, that's ripping them.
As I stated in there, I have some downtime before this weekend when I reformat my computer. To be honest, I cannot do shaders. No experience, at least not yet. But, depending on what you need, I might be able to help out.
I'm creating a couple starship maps (but I hate the look of raven's starship textures. They're all so...Imperial...), and a very large midevil setting township. I've ripped a few textures from online, but I'd rather not do that. And it's just too time consuming to make them by hand. Only a couple people on 'jedi knight files' have textures, and not quite what i'm looking for, but that has been my best source so far. Eh, maybe I'll just have to break down and make them after all.
