Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack Yeah, I heavily dislike the shoulders, too. And the weighting on his biceps is frankly atrocious. Yes, I've looked around, and while there are a few models out there that can have their hair turned off, they're usually clothed in some manner, with the clothes modelled-on. Bugger. And of the barechested models I looked at, none of them were bald or could be skinned to be bald. Plus, Raven himself is a big, beefy fellow. Not any old bald/bare model will do. By the way, I've been compiling everything together and doing last-minute checkups when I realized that Ocelot's chest was 100% photosourced. So, I went and re-did it from the ground up. Old Ocelot: http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/5691/ocelot2jw0.th.jpg New Ocelot: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/7...elotwo3.th.jpg Think I might try to do something to his pants, or not. Not sure. Maybe brighten it up. Or darken the vest to match the rest of the skin. Also, I'm quite proud of Sneaking Suit Meryl. She looks damn sexy in that outfit. :P By the way, in the course of checking things over, I suddenly remembered that Raven's textures weren't made by me. I found them on a Google Images search, if I recall. I did a bit of sleuthing and discovered the original author and model. It's not for JA, but the textures are publically available on Mr. Josh Singh's website. http://www.joshsingh.net/Archive.html http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/5...ete5iv7.th.jpg I've sent him an email, politely requesting usage of the textures. Here's hoping he won't veto it. By the way, Ryojin, what's the official policy for mystery models? The model for Ocelot and Otacon was taken from a RP skin I downloaded off our personal forums, called Jacev3. PCGM is down, so I can't look around for it there. Can't find it on JK3Files. And no readme was provided. So, I can't provide the author credit for the life of me. Would I still be required to provide a readme if it doesn't exist in the first place? |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack Well, the rules are that you have to have the readme for the original work. If you dont have that readme, and the site it was hosted on went down, you just might be screwed there. But, I would suggest talking to Inyri or someone about it, as they are more likely to have a correct answer. |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack snakes face just doesnt look right to me |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack Does Inyri respond to PMs? If so, what is her forum account? Side note, Snake's face was half-based off of Twin Snakes, half off of his codec portrait. However, it suddenly strikes me that I might have gone overboard on the facial creases. They look less like creases and more like smudges, all of a sudden. Dang, Snake's face has been the single biggest headache of the entire pack. Aaaaargh. Back to the drawing board. |

You're better off catching her on MSN. She's on a boycott from here, for reasons I'm not allowed to comment on thanks to the non-disclosure agreement. |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack um, no offence but those look like crap. Maybe you should get some pics of how ocelot, solidus, solid snake, liquid snake, etc actually look like. Your face detail is horrible and the faces look nothing like what they are actually supposed to look, Just a suggestion. |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack That's not a suggestion at all, that's a flame. |

Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack Yeah. Gonna be going back and trying to re-work it. |
Re: [WIP] - Metal Gear Solid series pack I went over and smoothed the creases in his face out. This means that the release date is pushed back a tad while I work on getting Snake's face right (again). http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/4586/snakecc0.th.jpg |
