Model wanted: Reno of the turks

Hi there,
The model that I would like to have is Reno, from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

I just watched the movie Advent Children and he is my favorite character. I don't have an extreme reason why I would like him, so if someone does decide to make this model, that would be MUCH appreciated.
I know how hard it is to make models, I've tried, but then again I use a program that no one else does so there are no tutorials.

If someone does make this thank you, it would be much appreciated.

and heres a picture if you need one to remember http://www.ani-walls.net/gallery/alb...l_hot_reno.jpg

How about instead of looking at anyone, you learn to model yourself?

Quit being a leech.

Re: Model wanted: Reno of the turks

It was aimed at Rayden.

He has quite a long history of saying how people should make more models, how people should model this, how people should model that, and so on - and almost constantly pushes the notion that Gir should go and model every FF character. Gets irritating after a while, and considering there are few talented modellers left in this community, quite frankly the last thing we need is people pushing the rest away by constantly nagging.

I probably should have quoted his post for clarification, so that was my bad. Sorry.

Which modelling program are you using? I'd recommend Gmax, but you'll need someone with 3DS Max, Maya or XSI to get the model in-game for you.

Modelling is always the same process no matter what you're modelling, it's just that the shape of the model will generally be different and there may be additional little tips and tricks depending on what type of model you want.

Gmax Download Link

Or you could wait to see if anyone wants to fulfill your request, but learning to model yourself does have some real advantages.

Ya, ok no problem. The program that im useing is Maya 6.0. I cant find any good tutorials, i have found tutorials but they dont cover the stuff that i need to know. I am still trying to find a good Maya player model tutorial or at least somthing that will lead me in the right direction. Im gonna see if Gmax will work, ill try that one and use maya to convert it.

Kouen... For your information and you can ask Jose about that... I'm trying to make a sword at this moment... I did some hilts and now swords... If the hilts what are pretty pulled of good are succeeding like it should than I try to get the swords working pretty good and AFTER that I will try a player model since I'm thinking I'm not that good and you can ask Jose as well I use 3DS Max...

You want prove I can give you prove... Just ask and I send you link... :D
Before attacking someone ask what he is trying... Why I said Gir is because I know he was planning to make a Reno I believe or was it someone else... Anyway He is the known FF modeller here isn't it...

He's also extremely well known for not taking requests. In fact I believe he usually tells requesters to go die in a fire, so unless you like being told rude things like that I'd really not suggest asking him for anything.

I reckon alot of these models will somehow appear around the release of midgar v3.

Re: Model wanted: Reno of the turks

I doubt they will, unless they magically appear, or you know someone who's going to bother making them.

Being a Maya user myself, i can say that you'll need 3ds Max if you wanna get a model ingame, Maya is a good program but has least amount of exporting options of all 3d packages out there. And forget Gmax, while other people around here may use it, i personaly dont recommend you do, it's an outdated peice of software and if you ever wanna get a career in the 3d indusrty, you'd then have to learn 3ds or Maya since companies dont care for any of the free modeling programes on the net. also if you intend on using Maya get version 7, it has more useful utilites which i find superior to 6 or 6.5...

btw i was planning on makng the turks some time after Rufus is completed, since once i sucessfuly complete 1 low poly head, i'll be right then to make more....(but if you make a good reno then that's something i dont have to worry about and may make some other character in his place...)
