Im guessing some wrongly rotated tags? Try going back into max (or whatever it is you use), and rotating your tags back around.

Maybe you should have gotten permission before messing around with his model?

As far as I'm aware, the first-person model is an entirely different model, with different tags. Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure. The last game I modelled a gun for was CS: Deleted Scenes, which naturally is different.

Okay, what you do is you recompile the md3. Inyri's Gun Compilation tutorial explains it all. Tis in the... Master Sticky. But, if you dont wanna go there, you have to make sure your gun model is positioned exactly the same way as the wep model in the md3 of the gun you are replacing.

Re: gun model help

You need to reapply the .SKIN file to the md3 using md3view. Which is ALSO in Inyri's tut. Also, you might wanna smush the model a bit to make it look better in first person (scaling on an axis).

Re: gun model help

Scale along the X axis (or whatever axis on which the front and back lie)

And its skinned in 3rd person and not 1st person hm? Well 1st person is the MD3, 3rd is the GLM. They're different files so yeah. So if your getting no-skin problems there's only about 2 real problems you might have (unless something went totally wonky >.<)

1. You don't have the image files in the correct place.
2. The .SKIN file that is APPLIED and SAVED inside the MD3 is wrong. Which means you will have to reapply one, one that is correct. There should be something about .SKIN files in the Master Sticky, if not directly, then look in the "LightSaber Crafting Tutorial" its in there.

And when I say smush... I mean scale along the X axis (or whatever axis on which the front and back lie). So that your gun looks smashed a little. As if it were put in a compressor with the front facing up and the stock facing down. That way, in first person, your model will look a little closer and have a little more depth, right now it looks kinda bad in first person. Of course, you could always just create a new model for first person.
