What tutorials do you guys want?
 

I'm tired of you people always asking me and the rest of these guys for tutorials that we don't feel like writing up, so I think I'm going to make some video tutorials. I'm a better talker than writer anyway.

Sooo, what do you guys want? I'm making a very simple saber modelling tutorial right now, which I will upload to FileFront if you guys think it will be helpful. If you want something else, just ask. I won't be able to make everything, but I'd rather empower you all than keep repeating the same things over and over to no avail.

Dunno if this is already in the stickies or not (can't remember and don't feel like checking right now), but I've been wanting to know how to get guns in-game. I'm working on two new guns (one will potentially come with a player model I'm making, if it works), and I'd like to have the proper know-how so I know that I'm not just wasting my time making 'em.

If this is already in the stickies, then just disregard this.

Guns are tricky. If I get some time, I'll prepare and whip up a video tutorial on that.

It would probably just end up being guns and player skins mostly. I would like a player skins tutorial though when you have the time.

For player skins, take a look at Bael's Skinning Tutorial, which is over on JK3Files. It's cool. :)

I'd like a video tutorial about getting vehicles in game, if it's no trouble. The "official" stuff on how to do it is too scrambled...

hay iny, i have a regestered version of fraps now, so i guess i can finally get off my ass and make a video tutorial... although, i really cant be bothered XD

so im up for helping you out if you need it, just lemme know when you have an idea of what everyone wants =]

if i had a way to record it i could help with getting vehicles in game, animated or non animated. also using either 3ds max or softimage|XSI, and even making the ship have controllable turrets. i dont have a webcam though but i guess i could use fraps but im not sure if itll turn out very smooth.

That's what I need. Player modelling tutorials in Softimage. Because I suck like that =\

A decent mod tool tutorial would rock, but since you don't use Softimage, you probably won't:p .

Anyone who wants to make video tutorials, do a google search for "CamStudio 2.0". Completely freeware, and records much better than most paid software I've tried. The audio was smooth, and the video was smooth. Granted, like most other software, they don't match up very well, but at least you can see the video well enough to see what the person is doing.
