Re: lights I see no attachment. But make your basic light in radiant using brushes, I've found spheres work great for bulbs, texture it with a 'light' textures, something that looks like light should come off of it, and, right click on the 2D window, select light. Then give it a brightness value (higher=brighter). |
Re: lights yeah i forgot to attach the file (twice) but its there now |
Re: lights WHere was that... Oh, yeh! a good tut for spotlights is here: http://www.clankiller.com/gtkradianttut/tut4/index2.php It is straightforward and excellent. |
Re: lights srry but that didnt help i need the little beam thinger to came out of the light i know how to make spotlights i just kneed to know how 2 make the beam thinger |
Re: lights I think it is a brush covered in a shader to make it look like a beam. |
Re: lights maybe... |
Re: lights No, I am fairly sure it is a brush and shader, I think the shader is called "dust" something. I know it has been used in a few other maps which have been released...but if it is a custom shader, I highly suggest you get the author's permission to use it. Good luck! |
Re: lights i am using that thing to.. its in common files i am sure, one good one called dark_dust. also, if u put a light at the top then have it target to a info_null, it adds for the the effect i belive. Also, if u open one of thoses duel maps that come with the program. its in there and u can see hwo raven made it |
Re: lights hey thx! |
Re: lights here's what you do. no "I thinks" make a brush covered with nodraw (in system) make this brush the shape of your "beam" cover the sides with a dust or a gradient (common_gradient is nice) fit the textures correctly. and voila! you're done. |
Re: lights that what raven did thx 4 all ur help ppl |
