Question! Ive got another question...... Ive made a huge room......With 15 Cultists and 15 Jedi trainers..... I want them to go fight....But not at the very beginning..... I want them to go fight when i walk in the room..... Ive got a door between the rooms wich can be actived by "use".. Anybody can help? |
Re: Question! That will require quite some scripting |
Re: Question! No, Tfighterpilot. Just got to link all the NPCs to a trigger_once that is inside the door, so that it will go off when you walk in. Framerate issues will abound, I'm sure. What with that many... |
Re: Question! NPC spawning, its in the tutorial |
Re: Question! or you could have them spawn when every you use the door, that would allow them to respawn whenever you walked in. |
Re: Question! to do that just change teh trigger once to a trigger multiple... only thing is they will spawn when you leave the room too, lol |
Re: Question! Silly me, I thought you want everyone of them to fight in a sperate time. |
Re: Question! Well, making them respawn would be a different matter... First, you would have to put a trigger_multiple. Then, you would have to make them all npc_spawner with an NPC_type of either jedi_trainer or reborn, with a count value of -1. THat would allow them to respawn to infinity. |
Re: Question! you it wouldn't spawn when you left the room if you made a switch that opened the door and spawned them. |
Re: Question! true, I never thought of that |
Re: Question! Nkenobi what tutorial? And can you give me a link to it..... |
Re: Question! Its in the richdiesal tutorial, its for jk2 but works for ja. Frankly its easier to just tell you then have you go do all the sorting through the tutorial. You said you had a door that is activated by use. I assume you are using a trigger_multiple for that. After you make your npc's select the trigger multiple and 1 npc, in that order. press ctrl k to link them. you should see a line connecting them now. repeat that for every npc you want to spawn. If you want them to respawn every time you open the door go ahead and say so. I don't feel like typing all the instructions if you don't want to do it. :) |

Re: Question! Okay it worked!!!THX!!!!!!! |
Re: Question! Dude theres another thing..... I placed A Lightsaber in my level on a altar...... But if I try to pick it up......A error comes up..... And the game closes.....The error doesnt say much about the game..... It only says that the game is ....(something i dont know to translate from dutch to english) So it must close.......Every time I try pick it up the game closes....... |
Re: Question! And another thing........How do I make screenshots (jedi academy) WITHOUT the console infront of it........It screws up my shot........ |
Re: Question! type in the console: bind (key) screenshot replace (key) with any key that's unused, close the console and press your key, that'll take a screenshot. |
Re: Question! THX and for the other question? |
Re: Question! I dont know about that, but do you already have a lightsaber, because that could be what's messing it up. |
Re: Question! No I dont have the lightsaber at the start.....I only have stun_baton |
Re: Question! Is tantive complete? |
Re: Question! OK, for the lightsaber. Methinks that you shouldn't have any weapons for it to work. |
Re: Question! lol u always can pick up a lightsaber.. even if u have it.. somethings wrong with hes map or game.. i did this in a map of mine at it worked with kein problems... |
Re: Question! Well should i put screenshots/printscreens here about the situation.... |
Re: Question! The description in the entities window for the weapon_saber says "DO NOT PLACE in a map, this is only for siege classes that have ammo dispensing ability" That may have a tiny thing to do with it. I'm not sure how you would get a saber into it without using a weapon_saber. |
Re: Question! Im Making the map in SP.......and i used weapon_saber entity in my map..... |
