The best maps of JKA
 

Well I personally have my opinions on the coolest maps of JKA but ive allways wondered what everyone elses where.

Now we know that the Matrix series maps are awesome and the Kotor maps, but what do yall think are some other PIMPIN maps out there

Matrix maps: Sucked.
Any flight map: Sucked.

For the good maps, Eternal Lair of Ragnos' Disciples, Bespin - Some Random Place, Resless Endeavour, Stargate SG-1 JA, Duel Turbulent, Shankian Dreams and of course Tal Erulanei are the best ones around.

I like kotor, not final, that killed FPS and the lighting was sucky. I enjoy that one flight map.

I love the two orbital* maps (I don't remember their names, equanimity and extreme?) Both curved and looking good, I especially like the complex simplicity of them both.

And Eternal Lair of Ragnos' Disciples, the fun I had watching a friend of mine trying to jump over the lava and keep falling in, ah 3 hours of bliss that one day!

I think Duel Turbulent is very good, Your (GothiX) "astro" map is Just Great!

I'm making a map that has to be and 'beautiful' and good. I will be duel...

Yea I also enjoy the Eternal lair of Ragnos' disciples.

But one map even though there ain't just loads in it, the SOS clan map, i love that map when you get a bunch of speeders on there its pretty Sweet.

That wasn't what the game is designed for. Besides, it was an honor-map: Add 10 suckage points.

lol hmmmm, why wasn't the game designed for that. I think the game was designed for all types of game play for people. Some wana drive and just screw around every once and a while. Then others wana go and do the jedi thing. I do both just depends on my mood lol.

The game was designed for plain fighting. They added vehicles to Siege, and only Siege, to have some strategic elemants.

GothiX it wasn't designed purely for plain fighting, no moddable game is. They're designed to give you a core from which you expand. The modding community would be insanely dull if all people did was mod Jedi stuff. You're part of a Matrix Mod, you're telling me that's going to be plain fighting? The complexity of the Matrix summed up by fighting? If that's the case the mod is gonna be quite crap. I hope it's a lot more.

JA is a game with many aspects, their is the honour stuff (which you and me both dislike), there are vehicles ranging from animals to ships and bikes, there is the ability to create complex strategies thanks to siege, Icarus gives you the ability to create a Tomb Raider style puzzle mod if you so wish.

I agree with you to a point, but to say JA is a plain fighting game is totally wrong. It is whatever you want it to be and have the patience to mod it to be.

It's very strange for me. He makes Matrix mod and hates Matrix maps!

lol the currently released Matrix maps he thinks sucked, but the maps in the Matrix mod he is in he thinks do not :p

(methinks he's a tad biased)

Oh and Gothix save yourself the fuss, it IS a moddable game, just because you believe it's purely for fighting doesn't mean others do.

Hell I hate RPG'ers but they see no problem in it! It's all personal views with your only mistake saying this game was designed to be a fighting game only.

I agree with Wade, to me the game play is just for fun. The bikes and ships don't have to be for just siege. They can be for anything. But we all have our own opinions to what we think so no haten here though.

Anyone got anymore fancies to good maps?

I recently reviewed FFA SkyTemple at JK3Files and I love the idea for that map, makes me think of Castles in the Sky (a superb anime). Almost makes me want to make a map based on that film! .... but I'm not lol.
