Dismemberment mod

Hello all!

I was wonderin if anyone could make a dismemberment mod 'cause I tried the cheats but they don't work for long. There is one mod that I know of, but it doesn't work. I wan't someone to make the dismemberment like JO. I'd appreciate it if someone would or tell me if one mod as such is out (other than the mutilation mod and mutilate 100 by duncan idaho).

Plz help me:feedback:

Ok well the only way I know of is to get a 3D editing program. Raven's recent SDK package and a .glm importer. You would find the text file in ravens SDK package called: Model Constuction Conventions, that one tells you the name for the heirachy in the model. I use 3ds max so I will tell you how to do it there, gotta find someplace else if you have another program. First select the part of the body you want to make more dismemberable(spelled right?) and go to the vertex sub-level. Next use the tool slice on the part of a part of the body. Then make 2 more slices as close as you can get them to the previous slice, one above and one below. Delete the firsts slices vertexes. Wow he looks a little shorter, we can fix that. Go to edge sub-level and extrude both of the new edges till they meet. Try to extrude one then move the verticies until they match up. Then make a plane, convert it to editable mesh and shape it to the body parts shape(i.e. a torso cut would have a roundish plane). Rename this plane. Place it over the one side of the body part and make sure that the opaque side is facing to that when the part gets cut you won't get the HOM(hall of mirrors) effect. Next make a copy of it and do the same as the previous plane, rename, reshape, and replace it. Weeee one cut point done! Do that for how ever many times you would like. That is how I would get the new cut points but I have no idea how to get it into the game, there are other tuts on getting an .xsi exporter and exporting that. But I am not sure. Is there is a simpler way pelase tell me.

Trent14, you dont need to edit models

there are multiple commands for having more dismemberment

Then I like to do things the hard way. Oh btw the commands you are talking about only make dismemberment happen more often. There are only a few number of spots where the body can be cut. Like on the arm the only spots that can be cut is wrist and elbow. This is because in 3ds max to save polygons, for faster rendering time, they deleted the faces you would never see. Like the inside of an arm. To accoplish dismemberment they had to create a set of vertecies that would be deleted and insplace of them a surface is created. If you model with 3ds max you would know that when you delete a face you see the grey backround of the home screen, or whatever object is behind it. Now if the commands created more dismemberment places then the spot on the arm they were cut off would create the HOM(hall of mirrors) effect. So the only way to add more places to dismember you be to add them.

*Yeah I just re-read the orig post and I had created way to much work formyself cuz thats not what he wanted, but anywho theres a small mini useless tutorial.(and a bit of useless info on how to saved rendering time when making models for JKA)
