Dumb noob question

Im a noob to mapping, and Im also dumb, so Ive decided to try and make something that would probably be difficult for veteran mappers.
Im doing a siege, the tutorials keep telling me to type things and check boxes and stuff, but I dont know where any of these boxes are and where Im supposed to type.
Example, I know how to place a spawning point for the teams, but I dont know how to activate or deactivate them. Im also trying to put in an atst, but it hasnt asked me to choose what type of vehicle I want, it just says 'npc_vehicle' Is there a menu for all this stuff or what? And how do I get into it?
Once I find these menus and get a little help, I might be able to work out the rest by myself with the tutorial.
I guess part of the problem is that the tutorial I have is for Quake III, not JA.

Here's a link to a page that will show the meaning of the siege entities.
http://www.map-center.com/modules.ph...ewtopic&t=1537
You also can open the siege_hoth map in Radiant that'll help you to.
For the ATST use
Key: NPC_type
value: ATST
to let it respawn, here's a tutorial for it
