map error- help please

When i start the -meta process when compiling my map i get a windows error saying:

q3map2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

The compiler is at this step:
--- FixBrushSides ---
--- EndModel ---

then when i close out of Radiant another DOS window pops up and reads:

(GtkRadiant-1.3.12-beta.exe:3924): GLib-Gobject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 1320 (g_object_ref): assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed

Does anyone know what the problem is?
