Multi player problem

when i start a mp game (even offline with bots) i get the error message cl_parse packets: end of message...

i dont have a clue what this means only that its someet to do with the packets being sent to/from my computer..

390mb ram
ti4200 128mb
XP
150/56 connection

ive never had this problem before... i was thinking it might be something to do with me not having microsoft xml parser (i thought it was causing problems with my system)

I'm having similar problems with 'CL_Parse' errors.
After a little bit of searching for a solution, it appears most of these are caused by using no-cd patches, solved by playing using the cd.
Unfortunately for me i don't use a no-cd patch and so am stuck with the problem of no internet play which is what i mostly bought the game for. :/

Another solution i came across was to reinstall the drivers for your network card (should you have one). I forget the reason for this, heh.

Anyway, if anyone has a solution or any suggestions, i'd be most appreciative.

Win98se
AthlonXP 2100+
512MB DDR-RAM
GF4 Ti4200 128MB
DirectX9.0a
USB DSL Modem

Thanks.

Yeah, i was having a VERY annoying time with something like this before. After being annoyed out of my skull I uninstalled my sound card and my video card, reinstaleld them with retail drivers, then updated all my drivers..... something there worked....
