JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Ok , just a simple question

How would I go about setting a specific bot as the Default bot.
Also using JA Mod , can I set it up so the bot(s) spawns Empowerd?

edit : Also we'd like to know how to set it up so 3 bots NEVER leave the server. Thanks for any help :)

Re: JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Bots are picked randomly
Using jamod, you can't spawn bots with empower.
Maybe a workaround is possible.. for example in the server.cfg

addbot rebel
mempower rebel

That would spawn the bot and empower him rightaway..

For the minimumplayers thing, i've awnsered this question recently.. but i cant find it o.O. So sorry on that, can't awnser it atm.. (i never really cared about bot settings lol)

Re: JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Ok well we got the Bot's staying part fixed.
That's done and over with.

But this work around.
Would that be placed in the Server.cfg?
And if so where?

Re: JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Server.cfg is usually executed upon server start, so anywhere in the file you could add normal commands too. Simply put in 2 new lines, one adding the bot, one empowering the bot :)

Re: JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Thanks, It's appreciated I'll get on that now

Also, since it just poped into my head

Is there anyway I can designate a slot , and make it so it isn't taken by a player?

Sorry for the mindless questions

Re: JK2 Server Question ( Bots )

Aye, just set the sv_privateclients to whatever number of slots reserved for 'private ppl', or just as slots that arent being used. You'll need to set these two cvars:

sv_privatepassword "youre'private'password"
sv_privateclients "1"

This number will be substracted from sv_maxclients.. so if maxclients is 20 and private clients is 1, you'll have a 19 slots server ;) (+1 reserved). And btw, it arent mindless questions :)
