Re: hosting PROBLEM you need to enable some ports.....but I'm not 100% sure. |
Re: hosting PROBLEM uhhh... ports....? what do people mean by "right setup" for a server. bugga bugga! |
Re: hosting PROBLEM will someone tell me what they have selected to create server? Maybe ill try that out... |
Re: hosting PROBLEM I'm affraid you have to setup a port if you want it to always show up. Try some of the server tools at JK2files in the Utilities section. They should explain. If you need links to them, i'll be viewing this again later. |
Re: hosting PROBLEM ok i will try that out... |
Re: hosting PROBLEM ok i have downloaded the server pack in Utilities section. i am still trying to find out how it works... so it might take a bit. ty for helpin Kylek. |
Re: hosting PROBLEM ok... this server thingy that i have downloaded... doesntmake any sense... all i need to know, is why i am lonely on my servers... no one joining? no one finding my game? i just need to know that. |
Re: hosting PROBLEM u may want to set up your server from a batch file in which u can put: jk2mp.exe +set fs_game academy +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 28070 +exec myduel.cfg or something to that effect (what i wrote there will run academy mod, set the server to internet, set the port to 28070 and run server settings, u will need to create your own *cfg) you see? much easier i think |
Re: hosting PROBLEM ok... and how would i do all that you just said... would i have to type it in in the console or somthing? and creating my own "*cfg"? hehehe "..."'s are fun |
Re: hosting PROBLEM u can create cfg files and batch files from txt files (in windows btw): right click in the relative directory and select new>text document, then just change the file extension to cfg or bat whichever u are creating and edit with notepad the bat file should go in the gamedata dir and the cfg should go in the base dir then in the cfg file u can put all your settings: gamtype, force powers, number of players, etc if u need some useful commands to put in the cfg post back and if u are using academy mod get Temple Guardian to avoid being hacked ;) |
Re: hosting PROBLEM windows btw? lol |
Re: hosting PROBLEM windows by the way? lol u dont use liunx or mac i assume |
