Default Is GtkRadiant better then the normal radiant?

Seems like many people uses it, is it better?

I got both of them, and it seems that the normal one is better.

My projects: Snow Speeder

In my opinion, GTKRadiant is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than that crappy JK2Radiant, GTKRadiant is muuuch more stabile and user-friendly.
But I still recommend JK2Radiant for newbeginners!

GTKRadiant is always being updated so bugs are fixed and new features added. JK2Radiant, on the other hand, is never looked at again once it's released
GTK also offers MUCH more user-friendliness and, to me, a much more intuitive interface. True that it looks a bit uglier (to some people) compared to the normal Windows looking JK2Radiant, but beauty is only skin deep

I also agree with Psycho that for beginners, JK2Radiant is a good starter. It does come ready for JK2-only support and therefore may be less confusing.

You should, however, check them both out because some people prefer one to the other. So whichever you feel more comfortable using

I think GTK Radient is good cause u can pan around by right clicking in the 3D veiw of ur map so its MUCH easier to see ur map head on!

Working with curves and models is easier with GTK, and it is faster then jk2r (at least for me). A free-look in the 3D-window is also avaible, wich can be useful.

Now, a question:
I've heard that it's possible to make GTK look like jk2r, is that true?

Default errm...

Having not used GtK I don't know difference

But what I DO know is you can pan around 3D view in JK2 using right click and you can tilt view using middle (Well... it worked once using middle anyway!! LOL)

The 3D view is much better in GTK than JKR. A lot more easier to use, anyway.

GTK can be 'skinned' in a way. Don't ask me how, because I didn't care enough to actually read through the tutorial But I know for sure that it is possible. From what little I remember, it requires editing a few text files and such...
I've tried looking for that tutorial, but no luck.
