how do u do it?

TheBeholder August 24th, 2002 05:25 PM

Well there is really only one way. Here I go. First get a pk3 editor like pakscape, then download any model or skin that you wish to replace the character with. (Make surre you give credit to whomever made the skin) Then open it up with packscape and you should see something called Models open that up then you will see a folder called players open that up and the model name should be in there rename the folder to the character you want to replace.(Example, if I want to replace kyle with vader I would change the folder that says vader to kyle.) When in the file look for a file that says Model default, not model glm. Then open it up with wordpad and change everything that says the models name to the character you want to replace's name. (Example, If i want ed to change kyle to vader I would change l leg yada yada yada/vader/vader legs to l leg yada yada yada/kyle/vader legs.) WARNING: do not change any name that has stormtrooper for the name or if it says get legs off model/whomever/ do not replace that. Once you are done convert the file into a pk3 and put it in your gamdata/base directory. FEW that was hard.

that's the hard way, but it's effective :)

:lookaround: There is an easyer way? I always thought that was the easy way it was easy enough for me. Would you mind telling me how the easy way is done?
