Default sound mods

is there anything i should know about replacing sounds in the game?

i've done it before, just by making another sound with the same name, same length, and same file type. but it doesn't seem to work now.

You must have them sampled at 44100hz (128kps) and they must be mono (not stereo). Music must be stereo.

does it matter what length they are (unless they're a loop)?

Depends on what kind of sounds you're replacing. If it's something scripted (so a line plays after a certain amount of time) yes.

44100hz is the sample rate. If the frequency. You can resample audio with certain sound software.

i've been trying to replace the sounds of the weapons and force with the REAL sounds, sounds i've collected.


so the length should only be a problem on loops like the force lightning?



(i've been using adobe premiere to modify the sounds.)

Length shouldn't be a problem, as long as it loops. I don't know much about premiere - didn't know you could edit sounds with it.

i've been using premiere because audacity adds a split second onto the beginning of the file when it saves.

I think I know somw where to download mp3 for Star Wars Sound!
I think it in jkiifiles.com but not jk2files.com! When you find music on a mods section, download some cool music moves!
