Default Disc Authentication problem

Hi,
I am not able to play Forces of Corruption. I keep getting the message "Original disc could not be found or authenticated". I was just playing the game the night before. Worked great. Now today it will not work. Just to let you know I cannot get into Empire at War either. I get "Please insert original disc instead of back up (4001)". Any help would be great. Thank you.

There's only a few ways I can help you with this problem (having not had it myself)

1. Clean the disc with a clean cloth or something similar.
2. Re-install it if you can
3. Buy a new copy

Sorry I couldn't be more help

i've had the problem myself, i removed the disc from the cd drive and put it back in and that fixed it, but if that doesn't work try what LordTyber said

Thanks for the advice everyone. I did install it on my computer upstairs and it worked fine. That makes me wonder if it is the dvd drive itself.

Thanks.
