Default Alpha Channel Issues

The other day I got to play with Star Destroyers for the first time in a while, and I noticed that the part of the ship that would normally display the team colours was white.

So I checked the other ships; Thrawn's SD, Acclamators, Victory Destroyers, Nebulon Frigates, Corvettes, Gunships and Mon-Cal Ships all were white where there should be team colours. (ALL Fighters were fine)

So I thought that I must have messes up when I was texture editing; So I checked all the textures in my Mod's texture folder and they all still had an Alpha Channel.

I looked at all the affected models in the viewer, and all the colours were displaying correctly.

I then REMOVED all the edited textures from my Mod's folder, and launched the game; the problem was still there.

I thought there might have been an issue with my graphics settings, so I fiddled with them; no change.

I don't recall messing with colours at all in any XML files, and am at a loss as to what do check next.

Anyone got any ideas before I uninstall and reinstall?

Thanks in advance,
AUS_Doug

Alpha channels show what part of the ship changes color...imperial ships by default have a setting of no color change in their xml file

search for:

<No_Colorization_Color> 255, 255, 255, 255 </No_Colorization_Color>

I think you should delete that line.

Cheers gents, completly forgot about that line.
Didn't help unfortunately; I went and deleted EVERY instance of
Code:
<No_Colorization_Color>
I could find, and I still end up with this:

Even though I can do this in the ALO Viewer:

Any other ideas?

I'll check now and see if Vanilla FOC has been affected. (Probably should have checked that first)

Some good news..........sort of.
It is NOT a result of something changed by my mod, as Vanilla FOC is giving me the same issue.

Unfortunately that means I have no idea as to what is causing the problem.

I think a reinstall is looking more and more likely.
But I'll worry about that after my exam on Friday.

Well I think that empire itself has no coloration in galactic conquest...if you are playing that...their ships are gray

I think it might be your computer. Mine has a problem with colors, but I don't see it very often.

I would O.K if it was gray (or even grey), but the nearly-opaque white is quite annoying.
And then there is why are the Rebel ships affected as well?
(And Consortium as well I noticed)

It's something with textures and the graphics card or something. Besides my units sometimes doing that I've seen this happen with the Naboo buildings in RaW. I think it's the same thing.

Edit: I can never get the insert picture to work right!
