exclaim Fustrating modding problem

Ok, so I just re-installed EAW & FOC, expecting to download my favorite mods and such... only to find none of 'em work!

To elaborate...
After patching the game up to V1.1, installing the RAM fix, and successfully copying the mods to their respective folders, the game decides to die on me! Gives me an exception on start... no "bad XML" no "I hate you"... nothing... just a black screen with the spinning orb-y thing of doom... and an Exeption! behind it

Tried to re-do the shortcut... no go...
Double checked my mod directory... it's good...

and the best part: EAW/FOC Vanilla runs perfectly!

Any Ideas?

Did you get a regular mouse cursor on start up (rather than the usual in gmae cursor)? I have had that happen sometimes, and the game crashes after that. Not sure why it happens, but if I give the game 15 minutes and then restart it, the problem is usually gone.

If you didn't even get to the start up screen that usually means you have a problem with something basic (like an XML not compiling, or a folder in the wrong place). Have you ever played the mod you were attempting to play before? If not it could be an error in the mod. If you have played it, and Vanilla EAW start fine, then you must have done something wrong in terms of setting up the mod folders.

You could try to copy-past the mods data folder into your foc data folder? I never had this but it sure is annoying I think. If that doesn't work have you tried to reinstall eaw and foc?

I lift up my knife with great rage, stabbing it into the peanut butter jar, pulling out the guts of the jar; it's creamy peanut butter! I slam it with all my wrath onto the slice of bread, as I make a peanut butter sandwich! You're next... jelly.

Actually, it's fixed...

Apparently the mod graphics settings are all broken, so I have to use a custom one (?)

Well, thanks for the help... (And yes, I re-installed... like 3 times :P )
