Default Problem with 3ds max 7

I have now 3ds max 7, but I canīt import .alo files.
I have copied the max2alamo.dle file into the plugins folder, but when I start the program, it says, itīs the wrong version. Does this even works with version 7, or only for version 6 and 8 ?
