Help with map editor

I'm new at ground mapping and i'm trying to put objects on props can anyone help?

Select an object from the list, then shift + left click

I do that but when i place the object its inside of the prop

if you want to place a prop on top of another prop you have to adjust its vertical height, in order to do so you have to select the prop on the map and in the settings area/box where it has like what faction it should be you'll see a box called vertical just change the number to what ever you desire.
