Hello People!

So i have some News for you, we are still working on AotR.
For the Moment we are working on an new Patch for 2.0. Many Bugs are fixed in this Patch and we rebalanced all Units. We created some new Events and added some new Planets, so the English Version is also included.
We hope that the Patch are going into Beta within 2 Weeks.
The planned Release of it is in 4-6 Weeks.

For the following Patches/Upgrades, we are working on an complete new Galaxy, an exciting Story Campagin for Imperials and Rebels and an Resource System with Tibana Gas, Metal, Slaves/Workers and more.

I have a question regarding the campaigns. I noticed in the mastertext file there are some blank campaigns named "bacta war" and ciruic hegemony" and numerous other sw EU plots. will any of those be included? If not are you still going to do those? I'd love to see it done.

Will there ever be a complete skirmish side to this mod?

I have some doubts... I played this mod quite a lot, and I don't know what's going on, but some scripts seem to be broken. I looked through them, and found few interesting things: X and Y-Wings should be buildable after Fresia; I should have few more MCs etc.

Many of those scripts fired (I've seen the texts etc.), but the effects never took place I have level 5 starbase, starfighter shipyard, yet still I can't build X-Wings on Fresia or anywhere else (although text says otherwise...). Does it have anything to do with battles? I fight a lot, so usually battle triggered during script, and text didn't go out until I clicked "begin battle".

I'm occupying Alderaan and I'm about to conquer Coruscant; yet the only way to do so was to Blitz with land-raiding Corvettes, and then overwhelm enemy with fighters... Seems strange that Empire will be defeated by R-41s, CloakShapes and Neb-Bs

Is there a English-based spoiler topic anywhere around that would reveal what's should happen when? If not, could somebody point out most important events?

@ Admiral Antilles
The Story Campaign in Aotr will be an Career from an Commander over an single System to an Grandadmiral and last but not least an Imperial Remnant.
Same thing for the Rebels.
The Campagin have Seven Parts, the first three Parts are linear Missions like to conquer several Planets and hunting down Pirates and/or Rebels. Or you must deliver several Ressources for Tarkins DeathStar. Later in the Game you have the Control over more Planets and to the End the entire Galaxy. So the later Parts an Open Game like the Galactic Conquest. Many Missions, based on the Movies, Novels and Games are included, like the Attack on Hoth or the Battle at Yavin. This Missions and many other "secondary Objectives" are scripted, of course we not have the Tools like Petroglyph but we working hard and try every Possibility.

So we decided to take out the Black Sun as playable Faction, because they not really fit in the Game and our Concept. But they are still fight as AI Faction and they are aviable in Skirmish.

@Ancient Demise
That was an old Decision for the Campagins in the Old Concept. But first we are Working at the 2.05 Patch and then at the 2.5 Update. So we planned an CloneWars Era which are included in the Campagin i tell above.
Maybe much later we add several Story Arcs which handles the Bacta Conflict and the other ones.

Yes, we have with the 2.05 Patch an full Skirmish Mode. Land and Space.

Yeah in the first Release many Scripts donīt work proper. Please wait for the 2.05 Patch and all Scripts are working.
The most Important Scripts are to bring Mon Mothma to Mon Calamari(for more Mon Calamari Cruisers) and the Conquer of Byss, Corellia, Kuat and Coruscant.

Thanks for quick and insightful answer. Actually I moved Mon Mothma to MC anyway, to help building Neb-Bs, and in hope that better bases will unlock MC Cruisers.

I conquered all the above planets (and cleared space above them), yet no conversion to New Republic happened. Not that I intended to go on, as I was too strong anyway I will try reinstall and then see what's going on

BTW, do you have any ETA for AotR 2.05? As always, I don't ask for any fixed date nor I intend to rant when it's not met. I'd simply like to know more-or-less how advanced this patch is, and in what measures (days/weeks/months) should we expect it. Then I could adjust my 'modding life' accordingly

We think we go into Beta within next Week. So the Beta goes up to Four Weeks, and then we release the Patch.
