how do people get models into the map editor?

put the model, texture, and XML files where they all go in your data folder
open the map editor and place the models where you want. make your map, then play.

Whoever uploaded the max2alamo plugin seems to have created a misunderstanding among noobs in the community by saying it was for the map editor, can any of you filefront staff please clear this up by changing the name of the link to the plugin?
