Republic Sovereignty
 
This is a mod that commander oddball came up with (he is leader not me), its not like any other clone wars mods, for it will have Republic and CIS complete factions, and will have all new models, maps and what not.

Here is Republic Unit list "so far"
land units:
grand army of the republic:
infantry:
Phase I
phase-1 clones-white take cover rifle
clone captain-red take cover rifle
clone luetenant-blue take cover rifle
clone sergent-green take cover rifle
clone commander-yellow
Arc Trooper Squad (comes in commander rifle, captain 2 pistols, blue rifle/grenade launcher, and regular arc dc-15) (spead out and mines)


Tech level 3 will Replace Phase I Trooper with Phase II SOLDIERS

commander Oddball made these lists and soon I will be opening a forums for it, right now any one that can do mapping, modeling, coding, animating, or beta testing feel free to join up! ( just post below) we need ever one we can get please! This mod will redefine the way Clone wars era mods are made (we hope) and within a few days after every thing is set up we will get to work! :nodding:

but this 1 is completely different from any other clone war mod

new models death animations for alot of units instead of crappy blowing up for large units and stuff,alot of new things.

For a real non-forum website, i have 5GB of space at 110mb.com to use as i please :) my spam increased 3X though when i joined, so i wouldn't recomend joining yourself, but i can host your website for you.

i have nothing right there right now, i will have the RotE site up when we fill in the gaps in the unit lists and whatnot for the site.

and if you make a website i'll host it there for you, if you can't then let me know, imay be able to make you a SIMPLE website.

Things to do before making a Mod :

1 : Have something to show other then ye olde 10 meter unit list.

2 : Speak GOOD English

3 : Ask yourself, Has it been done before?

4 : Know how to do it.

I agree with kalo, this mod seems to over-ambitious.

it probably wont go very far and theres already too many CW mods, another one starting wont get much attention and so will die before it starts.

sad really, but in a way i do agree, we do not need another clone wars mod, heh has anyone made a KOTOR mod yet? or you could try making a non-star wars mod, sad to think that everyone makes SW mods and ONLY Sw mods for a SW game.......

Precisely. Forget all the hype; the "best" Clone Wars mod will be the one that makes it to release first, whether it's IA2, RaW, this one, or whichever. I'm not trying to bash, but you've got a lot of catching up to do, so you better get to work.

And just to state the obvious, if all the Clone Wars teams merged into one mod, we would've had one finished already.

It would be great if you guys can do this, but it's personally taken me ages to get my mod together, and that's using whatever I can get my hands on in terms of models and whatnot. When you take into account making the models from scratch, this will take a long, long time.

ONCE I COMPLETE MORE HELMETS I WILL POST UP WICH ONES

Thats EXACTLY what I was saying. If RAW and IA2 just combined instead of competing we would have had a TC out by now. Maybe then the community wouldn't be so damn dead. Also I agree with you Kalo, please plan out what your going to do.

honestly this won't get off the ground. i mean really people have Z3r0x's mod to look forward to and IA2.

And yes there is a Kotor era mod.

We're trying to tell you that it might be better to start with a more original idea. When I started learning how to code I thought to make a clone wars mod, but I realized it wouldn't work. Now the mod i'm making has reached the point where I've made so many units that I've had to make fighter and bomber squadrons and the corellian corvette unbuildable for the rebels, and i'm almost done with the coding for skirmish and will soon move on to coding for galactic. If you want to make a mod don't waste time starting from scratch unless you have a lot of dedicated coders and modellers. If you can get a good team together then a mod this big might work, otherwise it will probably either not get finished or end up in the middle of a long list of crappy clone wars mods.

I have to agree with everybody anti-clone war mods, I mean there are so many and once z3r0x finishes his clone wars mod then there will be no use for a different clone wars mod. You guys should make something more unique use you good talents on something about something somebody hasn't made alot like a after the battle of endor mod that has to do with the Empire since the game is called Empire at War. Remember I'm not trying to insult you anyway I'm just saying that if you want alot of people to like you mod, you'll make something unique.

Gonna give you a little advice.
Don't ever say Going to do this or going to do that, or I just finished this. Simply just do it, and show people. Showing renders and screenshots seems to be the only way to sway people to believe that you have a chance of succeeding.
Don't expect to have it easy. Even if you have no life, clone wars is a large thing to do, by the looks of you list, it isn't going to be too pretty either. Once you get models done, then you have the lovely honor of uving, texturing, animating, rigging and finally coding them all ingame.

Don't mod for fans, mod for yourself.

are you planning on adding in another space station to build other units? that way your mod can have all of the units incorperated. if you already have this, nice, i'd like to see maybe a thread on your mod, if its going to be released

On topic: definetly show renders, i mena i could simply say. "Finished my own Eclipse." show renders to get people to beieve you, cause right now i think your bluffing

Excellent advice there Kalathin.

oddball - don't worry about it, they do this to everyone. Some people have rubbished my mod, Return of the Clones, for various reasons. Kalo even said at one point I shouldn't have done it. Yet v2.2 has well over 1000 downloads and even if only one person enjoys the mod, then I've done a good job.

i couldn't go pick up the cable yesterday because i had to do 2 things:

help put sheet rock into a house that my grandma is having built in her back yard.

had to do a ton of home work.
