wow that is some pretty skilled work there, if you have Windows vista....?

you go to start menu, accessories, and find snipping tool, and you can take screen shots of the screen with out using a real photo shoot, cuase they have tendensy to look blury.....a bit.

and what modeling program you using, G-max?

commander oddball December 11th, 2007 06:45 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

thanx and no i dont have windows vista

NCC1017spock December 11th, 2007 06:50 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

Real respectful way to talk to your fans...

Even with these crappy pics, I can tell that the helmets are waaay too smooth. As if it was made for an FPS.

they'll get rough out as soon as i send them to some who has max.

and now that i got the cable i will be able to start postin more screens sooner

probly tomorrow i will have some weapons to show so juss hold on to yr heads.

Re: Republic Sovereignty

What are the polycounts on those helmets? Sending them to someone with max won't change the overall geometry...
If you want fans, respect them

Re: Republic Sovereignty

Well it seems to me here that they aren't giving respect to him, so they shouldn't really be shown respect in return, that's just my opinion, but hey what can I do?

And also, Oddball, they look great to me. However, I suggest, if you have a print screen button on your keyboard (prtscn/sysrq), press it and paste the pictures in paint and save as .jpg. Just for more clearer stuff.

I personally love the Clone Wars. And there can't really be too much or too little of them, because I'd never get tired of them. :D

Re: Republic Sovereignty

Oddslayer, I haven't made second stations to build units from. Problem is that I would need a model for such a thing, I might use a stock model of some random thing like a planet (probably Kuat), the other idea I have is too make a lot of stuff buildable from large units like the Bulkwark, Lucrehulk, an SSD, etc. Nice blaster model oddball, but it does seem like your mod will take a while, since your making a total conversion, it might even be easier to do a spaceballs mod (if that hasn't been done already I hope someone will make one.)

commander oddball December 12th, 2007 07:11 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

ok here is the dc-15A still needs some workin' on but it still good enough to be shown

Re: Republic Sovereignty

looks fairly well oddball

logan, yea i might have to model a new space station, e.g. a space yard or something, just to hold in all the units

i just have one fee...
HOW do I stinken use a model PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!
that is all.

Vaders_legion December 12th, 2007 07:45 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

Im sorry but you used way too many primitive objects in that model and its way too high poly, You really should try and make it all off one object unless you really need to waste polys like that. Look for a low poly modeling tut to see what im talking bout

When you say "some" work, I hope you mean a complete redo from square 0.

i will try to make thr rifle off 1 object but do i also have to make the plx-1 rockt launcher with 1 object or 2?

i will also be makin the acr-trooper rifle the gattling gun 1 and the quad canon!

Re: Republic Sovereignty

In my experience, it's quiet easy to model something complex with one object, you just have to know how to do it (Face cutting, wink wink nudge nudge)

commander oddball December 13th, 2007 05:32 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

well i dont know how to do anything complex on g-max thats why i use alot of primitive objects unless someone thats has g-max and knows how to do it can show me.

Re: Republic Sovereignty

Good job on the guns, and heh, petro did just-primitaves models, but i have and use GMax, it's like i opened the floodgates for GMax modeling, untill i found a way, and told everyone about it, nobody, and i mean NOBODY modeled in GMax, but i found a way for GMax modelers to get their models into max...........

Great job on the helments ;)

but a thing is, you have to keep it low-poly, the helments obviously have at least the half of the poly's total allowed in infantry.

I'm Not very good at explaining things, but i'll tr to tell you a few things later, it's very hard for me to explain how this works... personally i think that making it from a dozen primitaves is good, it's lower poly-count then if you cut then extruded somthing.

Re: Republic Sovereignty

lol, it was acturally somone in the jk3 forum, gave me a link to somthing he said might help, and i pieced it all together...

but no it is not a good thing that i said abou the helments, if you use 1/2 your poly-limit, then you don't have anything left to make the body out of.

But that doesn't men it's bad, it means your good with detail, but in EaW you don't want that much.

commander oddball December 13th, 2007 10:40 PM

Re: Republic Sovereignty

but what if i send someone the phase 1 helemt for example and they replace the stormy one with it will it exceed the poly limit?

im glad its not bad about the detail its just that i want my clones to look like...well...clones
