he gets permission to use the models and you still dispute his claim. Maybe a screenshot of the email? no, that might be photoshopped. Or maybe would you like for nomada to forward the email to you? no, that can be faked too. So how is one supposed to prove they have permission? care to explain? Maybe we should just get creators of all the models which have gotten permission and get these creators to post that they have given their permission after proving somehow that they are who they say they are.

I know i sound kinda "agitated" to use a less vulgar word but if we have gotten to the point we're we can't even obtain permission for model usage without being attacked, can we really call this place a modding community?

What is so hard about providing a Photo?

I doubt it'd be photoshopped, As most of the people here with CS are more adept with actual Skinning then manipulation.

i might have put it slightly out of proportion towards the end but I am trying to point out a concern here.

and actually,i find it the other way around. ive tried skinning, and my skins are bacially C#$p. Image manipulation is quite simple, especially in terms of bits of text. all one would need to do is change the from address. reminds me of when i ps a screenshot of google and put in ppt. i made it look like google had a page dedicated for an army. but anyway, i make my point again, hes gotten permission, and hes quoted the part thereof of the conversation he had (looks more like a chat than email) maybe we should just ask the creators to post on here. it would solve a lot of problems. (and this time i say it with more calmness)

we can still call this a modding comunity and still if nomada doesnt has permission then the model maker will come forward yelling he doesn't has permission.

Evile Jedi told me in an E-Mail a few weeks back that the Rebel Assault Frigate was not yet released. He said their would be some new packs soon for the community. but did not state when..

I don't know about Nomada's claims I hope he is right for once, as it opens door for all of us that would like to use some un released models from his Warlords mod.

if he can provide proof of an e-mail I am sure we will all support Nomada's conversions. Its not that we deliberatly want to antagonise Firefox or we pick on him on because we "hate him" it's besides the point, most of the modders in the community play fair and go to extremes to make sure everything has approval from some one they are taking work from, and then give proper credit for the material they use.

Thats another subject for another day, but I have no problem with seeing some e-mail proof its not really much to ask for.

And I think that you are very wrong on some things, there are not secret proyects on Warlords mod files.

No its not in the Warlords pack. I have the rebel ships pack file on my PC (obviously) the Rebel Assault Frigate MKII is an unreleased model not in any pack.

Nomada that E-mail is a bit ambigious - he could be saying correct to anything. would have been better if EJ had added quote there from your original e-mail ?

It still helps to get permission for ANYTHING that is used. It prevents confusion and allows the original creator to know where his work is being used and by who. You'll be surprised how many people can ask for these things. I've got quite an extensive list of people who have borrowed things from me.

WTF.. I SAID warlords packs not the warlords MOD. Why do I see that your missing the point..? The model IS NOT in the Warlords model packs released to the EAW Community end of. I am not talking about the warlords mod :confused:

Good now, you know that I can take the models from Warlords mod. I do not go to speak from the rest of community, how I tell you many months ago, the first time that I convert one Warlords model, I asked Evilljedi about it. I think that he wants to know where are his models.

And both files are the same but there is models that there is not on Warlords model pack as you uglyYwing or named by Evilljedi YTie.

The uglies aren't from that.

They're Kitbashes.

They took the TIE and Xwing Models and such and put them together.

Told shak earlier - he's laughing his ass off. Shak our rigger kitbased them from different models in the warlords pack.

what exactly does "kitbash" mean?

Don't speak about SOTE our models are some of the best better than yours.

Sorry but I´m not here on a competition making the better models or looking for the glory, I only want make a mod for all and play it. I´m not making a private mod.
And I do not torpedo the work from others with very false accusations.

They haven't been updated since last year in fact and the packs I downloaded were only a month or two ago. With those time stamps.

Don't get Warlords models confused with the Warlords mod - cause I am on about the model "packs" we use for EAW. Not the Warlords Home World 2 mod files.

You have seen the proves that Evillejedi let take the models from them for convert them on EAW models.

Now you should stop your accusations on benefit from the all EAW community.

Well just for the record and this is from a PM email I sent EJ himself on the IA2 forum concerning this particular model and the response was:

"if you can extract it from the files permission is granted"

If anyone wants the email I got forwarded then pm me with your email addy and I'll send it on.

As ever Nomada you totally missed the point. Its like you bolt the door on the barn AFTER the horses have fled. No, that was a reply to Nake and his assumption that the Assault frigate MKII is in the current warlords model packs. I think he is confused between the two.

How do you name to one model that you can not download on a site?

On the generic sense it is as the last Alliance mod, it is only on my computer and nobody more can play it.

i guess. for different reasons which i shan't be getting into. the point is, its a unique mod in any ways. if he released the models, there would be dozens of SOTEs out there, and it would be insignificant.

I think that the point here is that SOTE is not from you vadereclipse and Jedi_Consulor should be the man telling us it.

And I have not asked it because I want SOTE models, I have asked it because if they do not go to make free the download of the mod, we do not go to play it.

And I waited that SOTE was more than thousands of new models, I think that the gameplay is more important.

I would think that if JC postes a model pack then the models would be for public use in mods, but he may chose not to do so. But I am sure that he will post the SOTE mod itself, as to when and where I wouldn't know.

I would like play SOTE and I have not intention from to add SOTE models or some totally from it, even if JC would let me make it. Nevertheless I can convert and add many models from Evilljedi that we can see on SOTE or create same things as by example the SSD Lusankya that we can see on Crisom Empire comics.
