People proud? That's an understatement. Looking at this community, I see elitist written all over it. It's hard to understand why people are so blind the good people who help are almost all gone.

You argue over nothing.

So here is the funny thing, you guys actually own nothing. Lucasarts owns everything. They allow their stuff to be used in the games and modeled. Licenses are created and bought by gaming companies in return for using someone's concept. If you guys take a pic and make a model out of it guess what? You still don't own it. They have everything from names and diagrams trademarked and copyrighted. All this fighting about who owns what and gets credit for what means nothing. If someone takes the time to make something or work on something should they get the credit, personally I believe so. Does any one mod have the right to threaten another, I think not. I am sooo tired of threats on here about using this or that. If you don't want your stuff used then don't put it out there and keep it personal. Lucasarts allows mods but I highly doubt they want people claiming credit for concepts they created and you guys have copied. In the end all you are all doing is copying concepts created by someone else that none of you own.
In the courtoom you would be correct. However, the only courtoom modders are in is the "Courtoom of Public Opinion".

AmaunetShadow July 11th, 2007 02:45 PM

Only because Lucasarts decides not to pull you into a real courtroom. As for public opinion it is worth only as much as the person whose opinion it is. I do not take kindly to threats and others trying to bully smaller mods. As I said credit should be given where it is due but threats have no room anywhere. As for your "Courtroom of Public Opinion" it means nothing to me. I live my life by what I feel is correct, not by what someone else tries to dictate to me publicly or otherwise. The whole point is in the end threatening someone for using something is pointless since none of you own it and can actually do absolutely nothing about it. It would be better if everyone helped each other to achieve maximum enjoyment for each mod.

Reading this has reminded me just how stupid permissions are for a mod that technically is dead.

You can use the AT-RT, just ensure that you mention that the Model was Created, Skinned and Animated by Wildcat. You don't need to mention LoW as we never had the Model working in game.

Kelathin July 11th, 2007 03:26 PM

There is a start Fosh, good job.

Wildcat' July 11th, 2007 03:40 PM

Yes, anyone has permission to use the model as long as these credits are in

AT-RT Model -> Chooie
AT-RT Skin -> Elron (According to Fosh)
Scout Trooper model/animations, AT-RT animations -> Wildcat

Stewie July 11th, 2007 03:51 PM

Skin Was Elron I think.

Ipse July 11th, 2007 06:58 PM

Is this about mods or about copyrights and !@#$ like that.

N3bulu5 July 12th, 2007 02:59 AM

thanks for the permission for the at-rt :)

Valgarochi July 12th, 2007 06:28 AM
