ok, im just gonna post the tut here instead to make it easier for you, ok, first make sure you have all the updates for eaw, when thats done, go to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData then click on the mods folder, then source, data, and finally xml. b4 you edit any thing make a copy of all of the xml then put them either on your desktop or a new folder where you can find them.ok im going to make the tie fighters shoot lots of lasers rapidly, this is an extremly simple mod, to simple for me, but anyways, find the xml SpaceUnitsFighters then right click it and open it with notepad. you will see theres a lot of text and encoding and stuff, its looks hard, but its pretty easy, ok then scroll down until you see the line <SpaceUnit Name="TIE_Fighter"> then find <Projectile_Types>Proj_Ship_Small_Laser_Cannon_Gre en</Projectile_Types>
<Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Count>2</Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Count>
<Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Delay_Seconds>0.1</Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Delay_Seconds>
<Projectile_Fire_Recharge_Seconds>1.5</Projectile_Fire_Recharge_Seconds>
the stuff you want to edit is in this part ok edit only the <Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Count>2</Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Count>
<Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Delay_Seconds>0.1</Projectile_Fire_Pulse_Delay_Seconds>
<Projectile_Fire_Recharge_Seconds>1.5</Projectile_Fire_Recharge_Seconds>
parts. if you want the fighter to shoot a lot of laser change the projectile fire pulse count line to a big number like 13 and if you want it to shoot really fast make recharge seconds to 0.1 pulse delay is fine so theres no need to edit it. after that go back to the gamedata folder then go to data and make a new folder called XML put that edited xml in there and start up eaw. theres one more thing i have to tell you, it might not work in galatic conquest. dont ask why it just sometimes wont. thnx for reading this tutorial made by
