Remember the good ol' days when we made mods because we wanted too and have fun? Well... now we are just doing it for competition. The way you guys handled vangelis....... a bit extreme. Same case with clone even if he was proven a liar. I admit to being power hungry sometimes, but I have recognized this. If you guys don't believe me, look at one of the wisest of us's sig.

"Because modding has become a competition, not fun, I don't want to take place in the public modding anymore."

Because of this I am CONSIDERING taking a "leave of absence" from this community to apologize to grevious and csoler_1.

Most of them do it for fun. If there was a EAW mod contest, z3r0x's mod will easily win. Besides if u want to make a mod for fun, then make a mod for fun.
If u want to try to beat z3r0x, then knock yourself out.

Indeed, it can be done for fun, OR to appease all the people who want somethin new.

I dont remember when i modded for fame, Or even if i did, Either way You're right.

Modding isn't worth it if all it ammounts to is other people bragging about your stuff...
Though sometimes people can be extreme, piracy should not be allowed.

THATS what I DON'T WANT TO DO. I do not want to compete anymore. You can't make a mod now in days without having to make alliances or try to beat down another mod.

I can see tring to make alliances, u know, to make EAW more fun. But tring to pwn anthoer mod, i don't get it. Like i said, if u want to make a mod for fun instead of pwning mods, if u want to pwn mods, then pwn mods.

Clone Commander is right, that's what we don't want. In my point of view, mods must be made to make the game more funny, more cool. I think there shouldn't be any kind of competition in the community beetwen mods, that's stupid, since they're made to have fun and not to frustrate or bother anyone. Although like we can see in some topics of the forum, some people don't think that way. I do aprove constructive feedback (NOT TRYING TO PUT SOMEONE DOWN), but without flamming.
If every modder, mapper, skinner, moddeler starts to act as this, then, EaW Community we are no more; just a bunch of stupid people without nothing better to do spending hours in front of the computer to do some modification for yourself, since you would join a civil war if you uploaded it.

Ah, the funny thing in your post, "Deathhascome", is that I never saw z3r0x doing such kind of thing. He's a very talented (and experient modder/mapper/etc) with a lot of respect...
