| That is not quite true. If you need to proove code is yours you 'did' it' or a model you have made or even a skin, you just leave identifying markers in the code. I know Z3r0x does this and I know SMG do it with their models. I have also seen skins with the authors name part of the skin name. These can be changed through hex editing probably, but it is a lot of effort to go to to just steal some thing. But it has been done and the thing IS they did not steal it well enough otherwise they would not have been accused.
Things can be easily proven if the author has left identity markings through the mod they have been working on. IMO |
