Mods aren't any worse then they were, realistically they're MUCH better. It just seems like they're all worse because all the ideas are old news. I remember when i first released my 501st, the idea was HUGE, a brand new unit added with custom textures and all, it wasn't very common. Now look, there's not a mod out there that doesn't have a new unit added. The games what, a year old? The reason why mods all look the same is because there's no new ideas to go with, not because of competition. Although realistically there was, is, and always will be competition, its what people thrive off of. Trying to have people like you're mod is competition in its own because if its your mod they like, there's someone else's mod they don't care for (I'm not going to say don't like because that's not true) and that person is going to try and do what you just did, and if they succeed you're going to want to fight back (that is if you have the time and effort). And it also just goes to prove what z3r0x said, its just friendly competition. No one of us modders is going to hate each other for beating the other out (hence why we lend each other our material for the other to use).

Hmm this is a pointless debate. Speaking for myself I will say I did not start modding for the reason I want to make the best mod. This gibberish is immature to me. There is no competition between mods I even KNOW OF ! - I do not know where this comes from. I help other mods they help me in return. Doesn't sound like competition to me at all.

That's actually called helping each other out for a greater purpose. Please don't start debating who has the best mod either, this is not the best mod awards web site. Your just going to create resentment and bad feelings.

All mod's that takes time and have been carefully put together all have a place. They are all good on their own merits. Don't bring this down to a school yard mentality of who is better than who.

CC that is simply because a little while ago you were spamming the IA2 thread expecting IA2 to simply hand over all there models to you...thats is the thing that is tanking this community, to much laziness....just make your own stuff....every clone wars mod has the same units taken from z3r0x, the same battle droids from that free release pack the same unit list etc...no creativity any more...

Who ? you don't mean Vangelis_EAW AKA EAW Commander do you ? - man that is not an extreme case far from it he stole from Zerox and released a bad mod in the name of MY MOD ! He stole from Z3r0x and stole the name of my up coming mod I wanted to make as a public mod. The whole time the ass hole was telling me it's for his own private mod. I even gave him a copy of the Splash Screen I was designing for SOTE. - Well I had to re design that later because of HIM.

Then I find out he releases an un official version of SOTE - nothing to do with the mod I am working on and very poor in the fact it's just a rip off of the code Z did. No credits were made to Zerox or me for the idea, name or anything else such as the xml advise and coding I helped him with on telling him how to make heroes.

Don't tell me this treatment was extreme. He deserved to be banned. I am sorry but he left me in the shit to clear up after his little work was done.
