i see that there is alot of mods that are based on the same thing IE clone wars , sith war... the list goes on.


has anyone thought of maybe Combining simular mods.

the point i am making from this is, the fact that there is not enough mappers coders skinners and modelers to go around for all the mods out there.
by having alot of people working to the same goal work will get done faster with more people and it could turnout at a higher quallty.

the reason i post this is becuase there is alot of people looking for staff and cant find it, or are lacking the staff to complet the mod.

this is an idea that I thought would smooth out some of the staffing issues.

The only reason we have so many of the same type of mods is because different people want different things and their perception on what makes a mod good is also different.

actually im surprised ur the first to suggest this!!

i do think this is a good idea but hes right all mods have a diff goal thats why they dont join a other mod team!

You are not the first one to think abiut this, I can recall on Several Occasions I tried to work on an integration of LoW, IA2, AoSW:JCW and UaW into one large scale mod. In the end it wasn't feasible as each mod had a different scope for their mod.

another point is there should be a website devoded to the stafing of mods

like a job bank

that will bring together modders from all diffrent games

AOTC and CWE has considered merging FWI....

Fosh, that would be impossible... I am the director of AOTC's progress and it's hard just to keep track of a few teenagers, I doubt anyone could lead such a mod.

EDIT: Mr.SoAndSo, a friend of mine made a forums specific for modding.

or it could just be the mod leaders who correspond with eachother and then split up the work and each are responsible for their own part (different eras, or one group focuses on maps, other on units, etc) but as said its not possible atm

anyways combining the mods is a good idea because the number of them is getting a bit excessive but it has been suggested several times in the mod threads and most have rejected or just neglected the idea

Personally, I see it as like Clone Wars Mod 1 wants to add a certain thing that Clone Wars Mod 2 isnt going to add or want to add so they just make a new team to add one different thing...
