...To make a lightsaber whip, such as Silri has in EAW: FOC? I want to try and make a mod of such kind. I also want to make Tyber Zann and Urai Fen. I have an idea for making a lightsaber whip, but i don't know if it wolud work.

well that hasnt come up AT ALL! NOT! why dont u go to gametoast and look at their EAW:FOC thread for bF2. i think there working on one but im not sure heres the link to the thread:

but no ones messed with it for a while so i doubt you will get a response on your ideas any time soon but when u become a member the password might be stored in your spam or trash folder so ive warned u.

I think I figured it out. I'm not sure though... Basically, color an aylaa secura tentacle with yellowlightsabre.TGA and lengthen it. I don't know how to attach it to the saber handle though. My disc is busted ATM so i can't test anything, but if anybody tries this and it works please tell me.

no, that wouldnt work at all. it would look insanely silly for one and then you have the problem that it would blow around and when you swing it it would blow in the opposite direction of the swing so who knows what the heck it would look like O.o then theres the damage region problem, there can only be 4 damage regions for a melee character so the whip would have to be made of 4 parts which would look odd.

Not to mention that the aala secura tentacles are attached to her model, and it would be better to make a new model than to take hers- youd end up with a short, fat whip.

Additionally, doing something like that is impossible. Weapons can't be animated, or use cloth (I think). The best you can do is apply polygon flags.

im not sure it will work though because common how would you make the sounds?i agree with star wars geek that it is insane because even if you do make it,the sounds will be insane.
