Default Can you help me?

Ok, here's my problem. I can complete the installation of the game successfully without any errors whatsoever, but when the game starts up and it goes past the Lucasarts and dolby adverts etc. the blue screen that appears will not load any of the options I have heard of like single player or multi player. It keeps taking me through the planets etc. apart from that screen there is a back button on the lower left corner of the screen which I cannot click.

Things I have tried: Service Pack 2 Installation - Failed, Uninstallation also had no effect.
Checking drivers and Direct X compatibility - These were fine, I also did the syscheck in the installation folder in the Battlefront folder and all tests were passed. I cannot find the answer to my problem on any of the help sites nor troubleshooting guides. If you can, please help me with my dilemma. Thankyou..

Regards, Tomarus

These are what I get, I hope these help! They're a bit blurry.

Your Screenies look exceedingly grainy, suggesting to me that your screen resolution is set fairly low. What have you got it set at from the options menu?

Another thing that this may suggest: are you sure that you have not got the game loading up with the PC in safe mode?. Before I got the hang of the appearance of XP in all its variations, I was expecting safe mode for it to resemble that of Win 98 which is very grainy cause of low res and only using 256 or fewer colours.--- With XP I did not realise when theis was happening. Theoretically in safe mode, BF should not load at all, but if it does then I would not the prog to run very far.

Another thing is, of course in helping sort out your prob, as the previous dude has asked, give us as full a list of your pc, RAM Mobo, graphics and sound card specs as possible, and the version of your graphics card driver.

trent, the pictures could very easily be grainy cuz their quality has been scaled down so they aren't huge online.

It seems that [WF]Metal Man has discovered why my screenshots aren't so good. I haven't got a very good graphics program because the other one wen twrong. But back to the issue at hand.

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4
Mobile CPU 1.80GHz
1.20GHz
1.00 GB of RAM

Mobility RADEON 7500
Intel(r) 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller

Well that's what I've got. Does this help you? If there's anymore you want just ask.

At first gace i'd say itwouldn't run too well on a laptop but after looking at the requirements for the game it should run fine with lower settings selected so i would imagine it was either a software issue (DX9, Windows Updates, Graphics Drivers etc) or it is simply because your system cant handle it very well. Bearing in mind the Mobility Radeon are not up to the same spec as their desktop counterparts. (Space and heat are more of an issue)
Aside from updating everything, getting rid of any spyware and/or viruses, theres not a lot i could suggest, i hope someone else can help you more.

ATI seems to have a history of occasionally releasing drivers that make a game run horribly or not at all. but then again, upon checking the ATI site, the mobility series drivers are released by the manufacturer of the laptop. so, i'd say go try to find a video driver update from your laptop's manufacturer.

Driver update eh? I'll try that out and see if it works. If not should I try something else or just return the game? Also, all other games work on my laptop.

-UPDATE- I've succesfully downloaded and updated my graphics driver.. and still nothing. Tell me something if you will please, after the ATI and Dolby advertisements etc. what should the game actually do? Thanks and if you have any more advice it would be appreciated.
