Gameplay

So, c'mon people, what is it like?

So far, I've heard it takes 6 hours to build a Nuke, and various other units take a long time to build. I've also heard it is a very laggy game if Fog of War is turned off, but then, I guess that would depend upon your system specifications.

Who is everyones' favourite side? And for those that don't yet have the game / have got the game, but don't yet have the nessecery computer power to run it think.

All I've got to go on so far are screenshots and videos, and I must say, I'm loving them all ;)

It is AMAZING. So far I have played with the UEF and have kicked some serious ass. I haven't had any problems with lagging or anything(due to a new computer). The wait was worth it. I rate it 10/10, what do other people think?

Still hate the interface, looks stupidly easy to mod know so I'm sure I can sort that out. Other really annoying feature is that zooming appears relative to the ground coordinates of an object and not the actual object. Doesn't seem much of a problem but if you're tracking an aircraft you get some dodgy camera work... wanted to watch the fighters barrel roll and such but the camera keeps clipping through the vehicles as the terrain changes.

Storlines very good know (intro is a bit lame, too much trying to be explained). Unit design blew me away, looks like they were actually designed as opposed to the command and conquer series which is just the same unit over and over.

A worthy "sequel" :)

This is indeed an amazing game. The nukes don't take that long to build, even if you have a crap economy. It's best to have enough mass and energy flowing in first though.

If TA is anything to go by, we'll be playing this long after a PC good enough to run it on max is only £600

Nuclear weapons are quite anoing though.
I am on the last cybran mission and have just captured black sun then the UEF nuke the control centre and my ACU as well so i lose the mission.
Do shields prevent nukes i may try building them.
Other than that the gameplay is good. I have found i prefere zooming all the way out rather than using the mini map.

Shields don't, but Nuclrea Defense Silo's do, and they're easy to build

:agreed

its an excelent game, nukes don't take that long to build especially if you set a few hundred engineers to assist it in its construction, one thing i am dissappointed with is unit size the maps may be large and the units may be big compared to trees but theres not much difference between each of them, okay the experimentals are exceptions, but there is still no ultra insane large units, I was expecting things like 80ft titans stomping on tiny little tanks and stuff like that but theres none of that really, still a very good game even if it can take 4 to 8 hours to finish a game.
