Problem when installing Legacy... The installer starts, as normal, but then I get an "Error 1234 The path Program Files contains an invalid character." I've installed STL a few times before, but have to reinstall again thanks to an upgrade, and this time it won't work. Running: Vista Home Premium 32-bit nVidia GeForce 7300GS |
Re: Problem when installing Legacy... What kind of upgrade was it? Was it your Operating system or a piece of hardware, and this may not be relevant, but how much RAM are you using. |
Re: Problem when installing Legacy... Just two more RAM modules, total of 4x1GB now. I've already tried installing with 2GB (after taking the two new ones out), no luck. |

But in regards to ur install do you have UAC running on vistam, because if you do, and you are not running it as an administrator you might not have privileges to create the install folder. (again just eliminating the obvious) quick question though, why did you have to reinstall after just putting to new ram cards in, surely you didnt have to. |
Re: Problem when installing Legacy... It's 4. Video cards and other such things get first pick however, the RAM gets what's left over, which is usually about 3-3.4GB. Lol, you're kidding, right? The first thing I always do is disable UAC. I don't keep everything installed all the time. I hadn't played STL in a while and I wanted to, so I went to install it and got an error 1234 instead. |
