Question How can I fire while cloaked?

I'd like to make it possible to fire photons while cloaked as in ST 6. Does anyone know how to make this modification and can help me?

A lot of people have tried...and failed (including me)! I think it is impossible with the current engine, but maybe someone else can help you!

While if you want to be able to fire while cloaked you can. you cant fire phasers while cloaked that i know of, but you can fire torpedoes and other projectiles like plasma weapons. to do this open the ships hardpoint file in the MPE (Model Property Editor) and go to the ships weapons, click on torpedo 1, 2, 3, or 4 or click on its individual plasma weapons and where you see the "DumbfireCapable" check box leave it unchecked. save the ships .py file and remember to delete the ships old ".pyc"file before starting bridge commander to make the settings take effect, you will now be able to fire torps and other projectiles while being cloaked.
