How do you conquer sectors for your empire? Here's an example of what I'm dealing with: I play as federation in conquest mode single player. I attack a romulan freightor convoy IN a green (romulan controlled) sector. I defeat the convoy and the sector turns grey symbolizing that it has become neutral. How come it doesn't turn blue showing that now I (as federation) have gained control of it? how do i make it turn the color of my empire (federation in this case)? |
I beleve it's contested territory til you Scan a planet in that hex or destroy another enemy ship in that hex |
Yes, I thought so too, but not ALL sectors have missions available to them. So if you enter a neutral sector and there are no missions there, there is not way to conquer it? that's sad. |
u just keep moving ur ship around and on the hex... sometimes the 'scan' mission isnt availible and sometimes it is! but it always changes with each hex eg. if u go to a hex and u defeat a ship and it turns grey but after that it has no missions u just move 1 hex down and then back (repeat until a mission becomes avalibe) u can also answer a distress call of a freighter, but these only work in hexes which belong to your empire. have fun :agreed: |
Got it! Thanks. |
Oh, is there any way to conquer planets? On the "scan" missions I capture the planets before scanning them but it seems to me it's just a waste of marines because nothing special happens afterwards. Any insight? |
ok if u want to capture a planet and a hex then u have to make the planet and the hex both neutral... once they are both neutral u have to do a scan mission in that hex. once u finish that, the planet is yours!!! :D |
oh and dont bother with sending marines to the planet, it does nothing! |
