Also, there will be beta key giveaways going on. I know of a couple websites that have received a bunch in order to hand out through whatever contests or whatever. So keep searching around, that will increase your chances of getting in.
I've also seen a few streams on livestream and justintv so if you're simply interested in seeing the beta in action, check those sites and you'll be able to check it out.
Nice. I applied for the Beta but didn't get a key so far, I guess those giveaways are the best chance. I'll look for German sites with keys and post links here if I find any giveaways.
I got to play a single player mission of SCII last year at a convention for a little bit, the game looks nice and seems to be similar to Warcraft III as far as story-telling goes. Not so sure if I like the game being split into 3 segments though, they'd better put enough content in each of them.
The removal of the LAN feature is annoying too, but usually Blizzard games are just that damn good that you can overlook such things
I just read that the first wave of keys went to people who visited the Blizzard convention and that the next wave will most likely only include people from those conventions as well. I guess we'll have to wait for open beta to get a chance to play the game.

LOL I was uninvited for the beta and still I had the means to erm... acquire it. Also the graphics is not THAT revolutionary now that it has competition from the likes of DOW2. Its features are only a bit of a step forward from its original counterpart. Many similarities to DOW2. Guess that's because Ebbert's been stolen by Blizzard from Relic.
